I first started taking Fit4Mom classes when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I considered myself an active person, but that was simply because I was chasing after 2 toddlers, I wouldn't have considered myself as someone who "exercised." After meeting Dana and some other amazing moms at my first class, this village was exactly what I never knew I always needed. They were fellow mothers in the thick of this amazing journey of motherhood, who wanted, not just exercise, but a community, and that is exactly what Fit4Mom Yorktown is. After more than 2 years of taking classes, I took the plunge and decided to become an instructor. This village not only gave me the strength through exercise to physically handle taking care of my children, it also helped me mentally, socially and emotionally navigate this incredible journey of being a mom. When the time came and Dana needed a new instructor, it felt right. I had had my cup more than filled up by these amazing women, now it was my turn to help motivate them physically, but also be a support to fellow moms during an extremely vulnerable time in their lives, motherhood.
